Estate Planning Attorney I'm partnering with a highly respected Pacific Northwest law firm seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join its established trusts and estates practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated planning work, advising high-net-worth clients, and collaborating on complex tax and wealth transfer strategies.The OpportunityThis role focuses on advanced estate planning, wealth preservation, and tax-efficient transfer strategies for high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, and fiduciaries. You'll work on complex planning matters, provide strategic tax guidance, and help clients navigate multigenerational wealth and succession planning.The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a client-focused approach and is interested in building and maintaining a thriving trusts and estates practice.What You'll DoDesign and implement sophisticated estate planning strategies for individuals, families, and business owners.Draft and advise on complex planning documents, including:Revocable and irrevocable trustsWillsILITsGRATsIDGTsSLATsFamily limited partnerships and LLCsOther advanced wealth transfer structuresCounsel clients on estate, gift, income tax, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax matters.Develop tax-efficient gifting, charitable planning, business succession, and multigenerational wealth transfer strategies.Advise closely held business owners regarding ownership transitions and succession planning.Support fiduciaries in trust and estate administration matters.Collaborate with professional advisors, including accountants, financial advisors, and attorneys in other jurisdictions.Assist with estate and trust controversies while working closely with litigation counsel when appropriate.Review and advise on federal tax filings, including Forms 706, 709, and 1041, or coordinate with outside tax professionals as needed.What We're Looking ForActive membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA).Approximately 5+ years of experience in sophisticated estate planning and tax-oriented planning matters.LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred.Candidates with significant tax experience, such as CPA credentials or comparable expertise, are encouraged to apply.Strong knowledge of:Estate planning techniquesTrust and estate administrationFederal and state tax lawWealth transfer planning strategiesExperience advising closely held businesses and business owners is preferred.Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage a substantial and complex caseload.Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to client service.Comfort working with legal technology, document management systems, and estate administration software.BenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife InsuranceMatching 401(k) contribution up to 4% of your voluntary contributionFully paid transit pass or parking subsidyPaid time off (PTO)Opportunity to achieve objective and subjective monthly and annual bonuses
